Nasheed Kicks off Re-election Campaign With Broad Support

ST. LOUIS - Today, State Senator Jamilah Nasheed (D-St. Louis) announced the endorsements of 39 local officials and organizations supporting her re-election campaign.

“It's an honor to work with everyone on this list.  Together, we'll fight to bring progress to St. Louis. I'm honored they recognize my commitment to serving our great city and moving it forward,” Nasheed said.

Nasheed opened her campaign headquarters this past weekend. A crowd of over 100, including officials from across the city, attended the event.

“I will continue to bridge the gap between young and old, white and black, rich and poor in this city. Together, we’ll improve public safety, education, and job growth,” she said to supporters.

For over a decade, Nasheed has championed criminal justice reform, education and economic development in the Missouri Legislature.

Nasheed is seeking her second term as State Senator of the 5th District. The primary will be held on August 2nd.
